theROOM
2 Seasons
"theROOM" is a two-day experience, where Creative Director & Choreographer Kiki Ely collaborates with Choreographers Taylor Perymon & Artrell Manning, offering dancers a comprehensive insight into the process of getting booked for a job. This unique space provides dancers with the opportunity to go through an artist's audition process, engage in real-time training, learn three full songs, and perform the following day for both stage and camera. Participants undergo intense growth, learning, challenges, development, and perseverance beyond their usual limits. As observers, viewers catch a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes preparation that dancers and artists undertake before a show. Unlike the polished final products we usually see, such as music videos or live performances, this experience sheds light on the creative process within "theROOM." The commitment to excellence during "rehearsal" or in "theROOM" is just as crucial as the actual performance. By excelling in "theROOM," artists are better prepared to shine on stage. Artists engage in rigorous rehearsals with dancers, making on-the-spot adjustments, changes, and choreography enhancements to elevate their artistry. This immersive experience blends the best of both worlds, equipping participants to elevate their craft and artistry to new heights of success. Welcome to theROOM.
